Randy Alcorn, author of more than 30 books, has one favorite book. The Bible. It has changed his life to such an extent, he has formed Eternal Perspective Ministries which is dedicated to teaching what is found in the Bible as well as reaching the needy. Alcorn's favorite part of the Bible? The fact that it is true. In fact, one night while reading it as a teen, he was so impressed with the realization of the events he read about that he knelt down and gave his life to Christ.
Alcorn is fascinated with the Bible and incorporates Biblical truths in what he writes. "Through good fiction that contains biblical truth, both non-Christian and Christian readers, who may not believe in certain things the Bible teaches, can discover truth." He strives to reach those that won't go to church by presenting truths wrapped around fictional characters.
As for his own Bible study methods, he has none. Some days he bounces around the Bible, other times he just opens his Bible, reads a passage and meditates.
