Samuel L. Collins and the Search For Biblical Truths

"Samuel L. Collins" being interviewed by Mary in Atlanta

I had the pleasure of meeting the Collins family in person and can confirm that the morals and values they want to instill in the tween and teen generation is alive and well within their family unit. If you haven't been introduced to Samuel L. Collins, here are a few things you must know. (Taken from their website)

"The Collins Family has the same convictions you do. That’s why we created the DVD series Samuel L. Collins: The Search for Biblical Truths.

As we looked throughout the Christian marketplace, we saw a big gap between the talking celery stick in the animated Veggies Tales series for the little tykes and the Christian version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the superhero-oriented Bibleman fantasy series.

Frankly, we thought it was time that 6-12 year-old Christian children could finally have a role model who was an actual child from an actual family who dealt with real-life challenges from a Biblical perspective.

Like the old Mission Impossible TV series, Samuel Collins will be tasked by Special Operations Commander with a different mission each time. The differences? First, Samuel Collins doesn’t look anything like Peter Graves! But, second, and more importantly, our hero is tracking down applicable biblical truth through several clues. In each episode, as we follow Samuel and his family around the globe – in one exotic locale after another -- he will learn a different Christian principle based upon his Bible verse for the day.

Throughout each 28-minute-long episode of Samuel L. Collins: The Search for Biblical Truths, your children will be invited to become actively engaged in the adventure themselves.

Between special hidden clues planted in the show itself and in the bonus features, your children will learn how to use a “cipher” and participate in “geocaching” -- a treasure-hunting game where you use a GPS to hide and seek containers with other participants. In addition, they can qualify to win prizes in separate contests here ranging from ciphers, t-shirts, hats, pens, and action figures as well as the $10,000 Grand Prize.

And, most critically, throughout the fun of the Samuel Collins adventure, your children will be equipped in the ways of the Lord, learning lessons that they will treasure for a lifetime of Christian obedience."
